My most important duty as Sheriff is to defend your constitutional rights against all who would infringe upon them. The Constitution should be taken as written and not interpreted to fit every passing political or social fad.
Fiscal Responsibility
Providing professional cost-effective law enforcement services to our fast-growing county.
Working with the Randall County Commissioners Court to fund the much-needed jail expansion without raising taxes.
Law and Order
Targeting dealers and suppliers of Fentanyl. Because of the Biden Administration’s broken border policies, we have seen an influx of Fentanyl. We are working diligently to arrest and prosecute those who are dealing in this deadly and illegal poison.

With 31 years at the Randall County Sheriff's Office, including 3 as Sheriff, I prioritize public safety through school partnerships, jail expansion, and active shooter initiatives.

Public Safety
Partnering with school districts to continually improve school safety.
Reserve deputies on campus, improving communications, conducting drills and assessments, and providing training.
Developing School Resource Officer programs, utilizing SB22 grant funding.
Jail Expansion Project
Increasing the capacity to 96 beds to ensure we have room for law breakers.
Thoughtfully designed to increase safety for staff and the jail population.
Project will not raise taxes on Randall County citizens.
Proactive Initiatives to deal with active shooter events
Threat Assessment, Threat Management Team
Hosting coordinated active shooter training with all local law enforcement, fire departments and EMS.
Community
Community service through The Canyon Lions Club, past president of the Canyon Rotary. Innovations with programs like Corrections Officer Licensing for students.

Member Canyon Lions Club, Past President of the Canyon Rotary, Past Loan Executive of the United Way of Amarillo and Canyon, Shop with a Cop event, our office supports Fill with Hope through volunteering.
Corrections Officer Licensing Program for high school students (One of only two programs in the State of Texas)
Jail Ministry Program, including 16 local churches and 105 volunteers
Community Engagement
New National Night Out Program – Event promoting positive interaction between first responders and citizens. Development of Randall County Sheriff’s Office App to keep citizens notified of ongoing incidents, provide information and a portal for citizens to engage with the office.
